i had endured the l.a. traffic just to see her - the iconic wrap dress exhibit by diane von furstenberg. Her show did make up for the one that alexander mcqueen did only in new york - savage beauty. i still remember those wrap dresses worn by most of my high school teachers. Back then i did not care much about it or fashion for that matter. I just remember them being too ubiquitous but rather light and flowy and women loved wearing them almost everyday. Even my mom and aunt wore them! as a design and fashion enthusiast my experience during my visit to the exhibit was a fashion sensory overload! Those patterns and colors still stand the test of time. Today, the wrap dress has become a classic staple for women of all career and the exhibit celebrates the defining moment that is diane von furstenberg. |

i took the opportunity to showcase a green concept in the workplace - a vertical garden in the showroom. It was fashioned out of two hanging metal shoe racks. I did not have any single pair of shoe to use as props. The solution - re-merchandised succulent boxes sideways mimicking a living wall of greenery!
